Living in residences is a University experience not to be missed, especially if this is your first experience of living away from home. The
Accommodation Office acts as your landlord, and we have a responsibility to implement the terms and conditions of your licence agreement. On the other hand, we are also partly in 'loco parentis' for our residents, and we have a responsibility to look out for your health and safety and general wellbeing too. If you have any problems living in residences, we are here to listen, and to try to make things right.
The Accommodation Office works as part of an integrated network of UEA support services to ensure that you have an excellent experience of living in residences. We have included in these pages some essential information about how residences work. We will also send you a complete Student Accommodation Survival Guide before you arrive at UEA with further details.
