Building Work on Campus
Over the next few years the university will continue to expand and improve its facilities, including student accommodation, and you should be aware
that there will be several building projects ongoing on campus throughout 2007-2008. Whilst every effort will be made to keep noise and disruption to a minimum, be prepared that some disturbance from construction work and traffic is inevitable for all residents, and the building work will be noisy at times. Some residents will be able to see a building site from their bedroom or kitchen window. Two of the largest residence projects are outlined below.
INTO New Build Project
Across from the main exit route from UEA, next to the medical centre and Nursery is the new INTO University residence building. This building work is closest to Kett House, Victory House and Paston House and the construction can be seen from some windows facing the roadway.
Norfolk Terrace Refurbishment
Students allocated to Norfolk Terrace for the full year should be aware that a refurbishment programme will continue in blocks E and F, until January 2008. There is the possibility that, as the refurbishment programme continues some disturbance will be experienced by residents.
