How to apply
How to Book
To book a Visitor Flat, fill out the online application form. Once we receive your form, we will email you to make an offer of accommodation (subject to availability). We strongly recommend that you book as far as possible in advance of your visit. If you are a visiting researcher or academic, you must include the name of your contact at UEA - a full-time member of staff in the department you will be visiting - before we can make a firm booking.
Once a booking has been confirmed, you may subsequently adjust the dates of your arrival and departure, although we do ask for a minimum of two weeks' notice of cancellations or early departure. Before making a booking you should read the Terms and Conditions of the UEA Visitor Flat Licence Agreement.
If two weeks notice is not provided then this minimum notice period will still be charged.
How to pay
Shortly after you check in, an invoice for the full amount of the Licence fee (i.e. the nightly rate multiplied by the number of nights reserved) will be sent to your departmental address. You have 28 days from the date of the invoice to make payment arrangements and the appropriate initial payment with our Finance Office. If your department is paying for your accommodation, we will deal directly with them and you will not receive an invoice.
Payment is not required in advance, although you may arrange to make an advance payment if you wish. There are no deposits to pay. Further information about how to pay can be found in the residents' information page.
